Design Inside Film

Rundell Associates is a London-based architecture and design studio specialising in bespoke high-end residential and commercial projects. All projects share an atmosphere of precision and ingenuity, finding beauty in the elegance of design solutions rather than the purely decorative. Founded by Mike Rundell in 1996, the studio built its reputation through a series of landmark projects carried out in collaboration with artists throughout Europe — including the creation of Pharmacy with Damien Hirst and the design of the White Cube Galleries in Hoxton and St James’s. What sets Rundell Associates apart is not a signature aesthetic, but a signature approach. Rather than conforming to a house style, each project is shaped through dialogue with the client, blending their aspirations and creativity with the studio’s own design philosophy. Fundamental to this philosophy is that designs should be simple enough to appear as inevitable solutions to the client’s brief. The result is spaces of quiet authority — interiors and buildings that feel as though they could not have been designed any other way.
